The Eagle Board is a district board of Adult Eagle Scouts who review and approve Eagle Projects. Each applicant must present a plan for an Eagle Project prior to any work being done on the project. After the completion of the project, the applicant shall present himself to the board in full uniform with the required documentation for final review. Only after approval by this board will a Scout be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.
The Eagle Board is made up of 2 or more Adult Eagle Scouts who are BSA leaders. The Eagle Board is usually chaired by Shane Stevens, or a senior leader within the District.

Life Scout Board of Review
Scout receives Eagle Project workbook, these procedures, and Eagle Scout Rank Application at the Life Board of Review. The Board or Scoutmaster should explain the process as outlined herein at that time.
Once a project has been selected, schedule a Scoutmaster Conference for preliminary project discussion.
Obtain written project approval from the authorized representative of the organization benefiting from the Eagle Project.
Obtain written Scoutmaster Review and approval of proposed project.
Obtain written Unit Committee review and approval of the proposed project.
Schedule to meet with the Eagle Board to obtain appropriate written pre-project approval of the proposed project. Contact Eagle Board of Review Chairperson.
YOU MAY BEGIN THE PROJECT ONLY AFTER APPROVAL OF THE EAGLE BOARD.
Arrive at the meeting on time and in full uniform. Be Prepared to discuss the project, materials, labor force, how long it will take, etc.
Complete the project and finish the write-up in the “Service Project Workbook”.
Sign and have the Scoutmaster sign the workbook.
Eagle Scout Rank Application
Prepare a three ring binder to hold all your original documents associated with the Eagle Application and workbook.
Make sure ALL information is clear and legible. Use ink or type. Make sure that all information is understandable. Solicit at least three references and include them in the book of originals.

Merit Badge Audit
You can obtain a complete copy of your record from the Council Scout Office in Great Falls.
Collect all your signed Merit Badge cards and store with your original documents in case of a record error.
Verify merit badge status, rank, and advancement dates with the Scoutmaster or Unit Advancement Chairperson.
Verify leadership position served as Life scout.
Take part in a Scoutmaster Conference.
Sign and date the Application.
Unit Approval and Records Review
The applicant must meet with the Troop/Post Committee to obtain completion approval and the signatures of the Scoutmaster and Unit Committee Chairperson on the Eagle Scout Rank Application.
Coordinate with the Scoutmaster or Advancement Chairman and with your parents or guardians (or have representatives available) to meet with the Eagle Board.
At least one week in advance, schedule to meet with the Eagle Board of Review and submit 3 copies of the documents in the Eagle binder for per-board review (black and white copies are fine). In emergency cases, schedule the meeting as soon as possible and bring the originals and the copies to the Board at the time of the review.
Appear at District Eagle Scout Board of Review on time and in full uniform. Be sure to bring the Eagle Binder containing the original documents.
Service Project Suggestions
Keep diary, journal or logbook from day ONE. This includes the pre-project search time.
Include sketches plus before, during, and after pictures.
Use sign-in sheets for people helping on Eagle project.
Talk to other Eagles about writing up project and use District resources.
Check previous project write-ups.
Check spelling, grammar, etc.
Appear in uniform for any conference or review.
Use PEN or TYPE on Eagle Application, pencil is unacceptable.
No abbreviations on the Eagle Application are permitted.
