Northwest Montana is the ideal environment for camping and outdoor activities. Our district is blessed with abundant natural resources, sits at the borders of Glacier National Park, and has a Montana Council camp within its limits. Camps & Parks

Grizzly Base Camp

As the only year-round camp in the Montana Council, Grizzly Base Camp plays host to a variety of Scouting activities, such as Cub Scout Day Camps, Wood Badge Leadership courses, and Order of the Arrow callouts. Read more >>

Camp Melita Island

Melita Island has a long and colorful history within the Scouting community in northwest Montana. It also has the distinction of being the only fully owned island camp within the BSA. Melita offers summer camp sessions through July and August.

Trails & Outdoor Activities

Coram Horse Pasture

Located just on the outskirts of Martin City, the horse pasture normally hosts the Northwest District's annual Klondike Derby.
